Title: Myself To You
Size: 3 ft x 3 ft
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Date: Sep. 18th. 2021
Having never done a self portrait of myself before, this painting has a special place in my heart. I have never had to look at my face for such a long period of time at once before. Taking inspiration from Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun’s self portrait I was able to put my own thoughts on a canvas. The left side is a broken, unfinished version of me, and the right to be what I put out into the world, over glorified, and a lot of fixing to my looks.

Title: Tangled Mind
Size: 11.5 x 7 x 5 inch
Medium: Acrylic on Styrofoam
Date: Aprl. 30th. 2021
‘Tangled mind’ is based on what society does with human mind’s over time. I believe that when we’re born, our feelings are straight forward, asit is seen as okay to have said feelings, but over time, our mind gets tangled because people try to change who we are, and we start to jump through hoops just to figure out what we’re thinking. This sculpture is inspired by ‘Fragments’ byBruno Catalano, ‘non-violence’ by Carl Fredrick Reuterswärd, and ‘another time xx’ by Antony Gormley.

Title: Souls
Size: 12 x 16 inch
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Date: May. 7th. 2021
Souls is a painting depicting what the character of death sees. There are many descriptions of who death is, as a being that caused one's death by touching them. However I always preferred him as the entity that walks with you to the afterlife. I never liked the idea of him being a scary and evil being. This painting was inspired by “weeping willow” by Monet, “Body, La Granjilla, Cordoba front, Spain” and “Corpse of a Republican soldier, Navacerrada Pass, Segovia, Spain,” by Gerda Taro.

Title: Mask on
Size: 10 x 15 inch
Medium: Color Pencil on Illustration Board
Date: Nov. 19th 2020
Mask On is my vision of what a happy person looks like on the outside. From both my personal experiences, and from what I have heard from others, many people feel the need to put on their ‘happy face’ when in front of others. The drawing style is inspired by ‘The Lord Provides’ by Jacob Burck, and coloring inspired by a thermal image of the human body.

Title: Mask off
Size: 10 x 15 inch
Medium: Color Pencil on Illustration Board
Date: Nov. 19th 2020
Mask Off is my vision of what a person with depression looks like on the inside, it's like the second half of 'Mask On'. From both my personal experiences, and from what I have heard from others, many people feel the need to put on a ‘happy face’ when in front of others. This drawing is what that person looks like when they take off that mask. The drawing style is inspired by ‘The Lord Provides’ by Jacob Burck, and coloring inspired by an inverted thermal image of the human body.

Title: America
Size: 10 x 10 inch
Medium: Photography
Date: Sep. 25th. 2021
This is a two piece work as an artistic expression on a political statement. America has so much bad that we need to make better. There are so many hurtful stereotypes, social standards, and misguided ideas. In this project, I wanted to show what I think of when I think of the worst parts of America, right next to what I think of when I think of the best parts. The bad part of America was inspired by Migrant Mother photographed by Dorothea Lange, and Gerda Taro.

Title: what We’ve done
Size: 24 x 20 inch
Medium: Paper, Ink, Spray Paint, and Watercolor on Wood Board
Date: Sep. 13th. 2012
“what We’ve done” is inspired by Loui Jover, as well as two epidemics plaguing the world and society; climate change and mental health. In all my work I try to put what is important to me in it; mental health, showing a little girl by herself is how I did that this time. I showed all seasons to show climate change, and ink on paper to show my inspiration piece. The piece is called what We’ve done with an emphasis on We, because it’s about what we’ve done to the earth as well as each other.

"Standing Alone Now" is an art piece inspired by Martha Hayden's The High Point, Smith and Ninth as well as an image taken of me when I was a few years younger. This art piece was created for the intent of remembering a Time when I was younger and had no clue how many worries I would have in just a few more years.

Inspiration was taken from Abram Guthrie and his painting The Time Machine, as well as Maruki Iri and Maruki Toshi and their painting IV Rainbow. This drawing was made to demonstrate how I see the world as throughout the narrative of “what if when I open my doors, everything I'm scared of will come crashing through the entryway?”
